our church started a new playgroup on wednesday mornings. we enjoyed time with new friends... and millie liked having her water in a coffee cup- like a mama.

kindergarten roundup! we pre-registered online, so it was pretty quick... we talked to the school nurse, filled out a few papers for her about millie's past health & her food allergies, and then millie took a kindergarten readiness test- which she passed!

we decided to take a tour of lafayette christian school, where g went for K-8... g hadn't been in the school for years, so i think he enjoyed seeing all of the changes that have been made to the building. we've always thought it was a possibility for our girls. i really like a lot about the school... but we have to compare the pros & cons, and the cost is a big con for us.

battle ground has a parent night in a few weeks where we will meet the teachers, hear about the curriculum for the year, and take a tour of the classrooms. i think this will help us with our decision whether or not to really consider LCS.

ryan bought tickets for him & g to see an underoath reunion concert in chicago for g's birthday back in september... katie & i invited ourselves along & made it an overnight trip away from kids! katie found us an airbnb on the north side of the city- g & i's first time in an airbnb. we dropped the guys off at the venue, and went to unload our things at the apartment before going out for a drink. we had some trouble gettting the key to work at the front door, but after a call to the guy & some jiggling of the door knob... we made it in & dropped off our bags. the guy from airbnb gave us a recommendation for a bar/restaurant in the neighborhood, so katie & i walked there to check it out. it turned out to be the perfect spot for drinks.

g & ryan came after the concert & had a drink with us, and then we ubered back to the apartment. my first uber ride! i'm feeling cool again... stayed at an airbnb, drank moscow mules while out, took an uber ride, and then brunched the next day.

we popped in a few stores after brunch before heading home... our last stop was at urban outfitters surplus- all clearance & good deals, like this overall-tutu number that was originally $79(what?!!) marked down to $5. i obviously bought it.
