caroline's twenty-third month...
-she is wearing size 12-18month, 18month, & 18-24month clothes.
- she is wearing size5/size6 shoes.
- she is wearing size4 diapers.
- her naps & overnight sleep have been great.
- still nursing, but i think the end is near.
- she does well eating lunch & dinner, but has recently not been eating much for breakfast. she is loving bananas right, and normally wants only that for breakfast. she asks for one as soon as she gets to the bottom of the stairs in the morning.
- she no longer sits in her highchair for meals... she now gets to sit by millie at the table, and they do surprisingly well sitting next to one another for every meal. sometimes millie gets annoyed with how close caroline wants to sit by her, but normally they do well & focus on eating their meal.
- she is still getting her 2year molars... the bumps feel bigger & bigger every time she lets me check, but they haven't broken through yet. and her last tooth in the front is mostly in.
- teething these molars has been pretty obvious with her... her nose runs, she has a slight fever, she chews on her hands, and she gets extra fiesty- especially with swatting her hands at you when she doesn't want you to do something. she is mostly just doing it to millie & i, so she is learning how to say sorry & getting time outs every time she does it. hopefully it is just a side effect of teething and goes away!
- she has a few new words/phrases that come to mind right now... purple, thank you, "and me" -all the time, booboov (movie), draw, ta da. when i read books to her & ask her to point to something, she knows so much... but she doesn't seem to like saying new words. it's super exciting when she will repeat after us. we are working on thank you & sorry right now... sometimes she just makes a kissing sound when i ask her to say thank you. i'm guessing its from showing her the sign for thank you, and to her it looks like we are blowing her a kiss. it's pretty cute when she does it.
- she LOVES princess dresses. this was the month of princess dresses... i'm not sure that she went one whole day in the past month not wearing a dress at some point. she even wears them over her jams to bed.
- she still has a spot on her forehead... she won't let it heal.
- she still wants to hear "let it go" daily... multiple times a day.
- she had to go to urgent care for nursemaid's elbow... we are 2/2 with our girls.
- and she is a great mix of an outgoing little girl & a shy mama's girl.
