its moving time.

We made the big move tonight... it went well because we have such super friends. I am so thankful for a community that comes together to help each other. They moved tons of boxes, cleaned our refrigerator, put together beds, and shared a champagne toast with us. It was a great night of fellowship and hard work. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

and now the unpacking begins. boo.

homeowners.

We did it! We bought a house! Whoa! It was a very exciting day... everything went smoothly. They didn't complete our entire list, but we feel comfortable with the remaining things. They were going to finish up a few things this afternoon and also tomorrow before we officially turn our new key in the lock. Our first loads will be unpacked after work tomorrow! Wooohooo!

baby wilner.

I went to the hospital today to see baby #2 from my team at work... only one more mommy-to-be remains. Edith Olivia Wilner was born early this morning, weighing in at around 8.5 pounds. She is really cute! I like her a lot, and I can't wait to buy her the girliest thing I can find!

mr. & mrs. ferrell.

G and I went to a wedding today in Estes Park! The groom, Matt Ferrell, has been a roommate of Grant's for a few years. He is a super fun guy and he married a super fun girl, Jen. It was a beautiful wedding... very Colorado. She was a gorgeous bride and the food was delicious... BBQ style!

i like the maxidress.

final walk through.

Today was our final walk through to find all of the things that Richmond needs to fix before we close on Wednesday. G's cousin, John, came last night and helped us compile a list. I am so thankful that he came, because we would have never caught the things he added to the list. Most things on the list are minor except for a few rather major issues... a floor squeak in the master bathroom and something in the crawlspace. Our Richmond man didn't seem too overwhelmed by our list... hopefully it will get done in two days!

Today was my parents last full day in Colorado... we had an awesome visit with them. I am so thankful that I have great parents. They are so selfless and ready to serve in anyway possible. We were truly blessed by them this week. Thanks for all the packing and work you guys did! We love you both tons!

Tonight we went to Melissa's birthday party... it was a murder mystery called "Death by Chocolate". Everyone was given their character about a week ago... we had to dress in costume and conceal a secret about our character. During our dinner of tasty appetizers, we went through a series of rounds where we were given questions to ask one another and responses to give clues about who did it. It was a lot of fun. It was much simpler than I had expected... I thought it would be more off the top of my head but it was nicely scripted. We had a lot of laughs throughout the night!

it was my characters 40th birthday party. g was an accountant and my boyfriend.

happy birthday melissa!

rodeo.

We took my parents to the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo tonight... it was pink night. For every person wearing pink, they donated $1 to a breast cancer charity. So we all wore pink... even my dad! He had some pink in his plaid shorts. He is pretty cool. And my husband wore some sweet cutoffs. He wants to be a hillbilly real bad. It was a fun night... lots of cowboys wearing sweet pink shirts.

i cant wait to see little norman in the mutton bustin' contest someday.
