The drive home from the airport last night was interesting... we got into a rear-ending accident on the interstate, one exit away from our house. It was a huge bummer. Everyone involved was fine and the whole process seemed to go as smoothly as possible. I decided to give my doctor a call to see if he would like to see me first thing in the morning, but I instead spoke with the on-call doctor who wanted me to come to the hospital as soon as possible to be hooked up to a heart rate and contraction monitor. Most issues with pregnant ladies who have been in an accident happen within the first 6 hours, so we felt that it was important to go. G had to finish up paperwork with the police, so our friend Sean came and took me to the hospital... and my friend Melissa met me there so I would have some company until G arrived. We were at the hospital over four hours... they took blood work and kept me on the monitors the whole time. I had contractions early on that slowed down by the time I left and the heart rate was great the whole time, so all is well. We don't need to worry about it!

christmas.

We spent Christmas with my family... it was a super relaxing day of presents, naps, and my grandma's wonderful noodles. I loved being at my parents for Christmas. It just feels right.

christmas eve.

We spent Christmas Eve with G's family... opening presents in the morning, enjoying good food all day long, and spending time relaxing as a family. G and I met my parents downtown to go to Christmas Eve service at the church I grew up in... it was a great day!

next christmas eve we will have a little one... crazy!

miss millies second shower.

We had another baby shower for Millie on our second day in Indiana... it was a crazy weekend! This shower was planned by the grandmas-to-be, and was a much bigger group of family and friends from home. It was a wonderful afternoon of chatting, present-opening, and tasty treats.

miss millies first shower.

We had our first baby shower for Millie the day we arrived home in Indiana... it was a relaxed setting of mostly members of my family. It was a nice evening, and we were super blessed with tons of cute things!
