halloween!

thanks to grams for getting these cute buckets for the girls from lands end. love them.
lunch at moe's... free meal for kids in costumes!
every halloween. love this sweater.
rapunzel and "blue jean" or eugene... millie has called him "blue jean" ever since she first saw tangled. it's so cute.
i hope that someday they will think their parents are super cool for dressing up with them on halloween.
we went to my parents' house for dinner and then walked around their neighborhood for a bit. caroline was super grumpy at first... but after a visit to owen's house, she was giddy & loving it! we were afraid that it would start raining, but it held off & it ended up being rather pleasant weather for walking around outside.
we headed back to grams & gramps' house as it was getting dark... we had hoped to make it back to our neighborhood before dark, but we didn't quite make it. and it started raining right as we got out of the car. we walked to a few houses on our street, and got to see a few neighbors that were still out. we sat our bowl of candy out on our porch while we were walking on our street & we saw a few kids go up to our porch... but after we got back to our house, we never got to hand out any candy- darn rain. millie was really looking forward to handing some out... i think next year we will plan to be home the whole evening, so that we can see neighbor friends and hand out candy.
"this is the best day ever!"
i'm curious to see if she even remembers the candy in a few days or asks for it... in the past she has forgotten about it by the time she woke up the next morning.

thanks to a sweet grandpa for giving the girls a penny... mama wasn't prepared.
my favorite comfort food, chipped beef on toast, and now the girls love it too! the last time that we made it, g surprised us and put some pink food coloring in the pot... and now it must be pink everytime we make it.
we do movie & popcorn nights at least once a week... the girls love it.
she has been begging me to get out the barbie pool... ugh. i finally let her. thank goodness they are both great about listening and not making messes. and thank goodness for the awesome let's playground mat. love that thing.
practicing her super millie super strength moves.
pulled out some of my beanie babies for caroline.
imagination station with owen!
caroline took some long naps this week, so millie & i were able to have lots of good play time.
thank goodness for baby oil... this would not come off with soap & water.
mall-o-ween! we asked millie if she just wanted to just dress up for halloween trick-or-treating... or if she wanted to wear costumes for a few more events. she said, "i want to dress up A LOT!" i think that g & i passed on our love of costumes.
i laid out a few options from our costume collection in caroline's size, and she picked ariel for the shoes. and millie picked out her outfit from her dress-up collection... a princess cowgirl dancer.
the reason i wanted a dining room table... for project life.
caroline's diaper leaked while out shopping & mama was unprepared without any diapers or a change of clothes... thankfully jill & owen saved the day with a diaper.
best time to get dress-up clothes... after halloween clearance!
little doc pet vets... caroline is obsessed with doc right now. and dogs.
trunk-or-treat at nana & papa's church. doc the pet vet & her puppy patient.
i hope we get to do a trunk-or-treat someday... i love the creativity of decorating your car & having costumes to match.
under the sea! so cute!
end of the week main floor clean-up... this week was especially ridiculous.
