We had a wonderful trip to Puerto Vallarta with G's family last week... it was the perfect mix of alone time, couple time, and family time. G and I considered it our "babymoon"... since it will be our last vacation without little Millie! We are super thankful to his parents for such an awesome week away! Here is our week in (lots of) photos...

(taken by grant)We also enjoyed many other activities... G and Grant went scuba diving, Susan and I enjoyed a few sessions at the spa, the evening shows were entertaining, the endless food (especially the crepe bar) was great, and we all loved the relaxing time by the beach! It was a great trip.

we are thankful for our friends steve & carey... especially today on veteran's day.they are making a sacrifice for our country, and it is so much appreciated.
(steve is currently in afghanistan with the air force.)
we can't wait for him to come home and meet his daughter this spring!

hudson & alice were dedicated at church this morning.i love these two little people... they are super cute & lots of fun.
we enjoyed a tasty brunch with our friends following the service... it was a great morning.

my birthday party.
I couldn't decide on a theme for my birthday party, so G decided to tell every couple in our small group a different costume theme. Some super weird and others just fun... cops & robbers, star wars & sesame street, decades, farmers & farm animals, cowboys & indians, ravers, & toga. We were hoping everyone would show up surprised to find others in different costumes, but our friends chatted with one another and found out our secret. I still found it fun to see everyone in different costumes... and G & I had fun incorporating all the themes into our outfits. I always feel silly wanting a costume party for my birthday just a week after Halloween, but it is one of my all-time favorite things to do! I wonder if I will ever grow out of my love for planning and wearing costumes... I hope not!
