| more IDEA group work... seems like mostly critical thinking. i'm looking forward to her parent-teacher conference in a few weeks to learn more about this group. we weren't given a ton of information about it before it started. millie said that there are three that go from her class, including her, and one from another class. |

this month started out a little rocky. she wasn't loving school her first week back after break... she was missing being at home & said that school was harder. her teacher said that the second semester is harder, because they are preparing them for first grade- which is way different than kindergarten. and reading & cvc words seemed to be frustrating her too. she said that she wanted to go back to the "olden days" before break when it was easy & fun. it only lasted a week or two, and then she was back in the routine & loving school again. she's made a lot of progress in her reading this month. she didn't seem to want to try very hard a few weeks ago, but is seeming more eager lately... and wanting to finally work on her sight words at home- and is doing so well learning them. she knows her letter sounds, but doesn't always show that she does when she's sounding out words.
