Millie chose to have a Shopkins themed party for her 5th birthday... I definitely wasn't surprised! She loves them just as much as she did over a year ago when she got her first set. There aren't many Shopkins party supplies out there... they are just starting to pop up in stores. I was able to get plates, napkins, and cups at WalMart & a few days before the party I was finally able to find a few things at Party City. There was just a small end cap of decorations... I was happy to find a few banners. I used a seller on Etsy for her invitations. It was my first time doing that, and I was super happy with how they turned out and how easy & cheap they were to print them- 1hour WalMart photo prints. Millie enjoyed helping me prepare for the party, which I loved. I didn't let her help me set it all up though... I wanted it to be a surprise when she woke up. She loved walking around looking at all of the details, & was excited to give her grandparents a tour when they arrived before the party. I love that she sees the details... those are my favorite things to do for a party, and I'm guessing they are missed by most. The party went well. I was overwhelmed at times... it was a lot of little girls and a lot of adults too- probably half of the parents stayed and also our families were there. They all seemed to enjoy the crafts & bingo & snacks. And we were so proud of Millie... she was a great birthday girl. She was sweet to her friends, she included everyone & tried to not to play favorites, and was sweet & thankful while she was opening presents. I can't believe she's 5!

| millie wrote the names on all of the favor bags & helped fill them- a snack, a few plastic bracelets (found in valentines's day clearance at target), and little princess activity set with a mini coloring book, sticker, & crayon. |
| marty party hats (made to look like a season4 shopkin) that millie helped make & two crafts/activities for the girls- white barbie dresses (bought on etsy) that could be decorated with fabric markers & a bottlecap necklace (bought a set of 20 on amazon) with a shopkins picture (bought on etsy) in it. we put less in their favor bags since they got to make these. |
| my dad made some of millie's duplicate shopkins into charms, so that they could add them to their bottlecap necklaces. |
| june balloon... a season4 shopkin. found some great images to print on the shopkins website. |
| shoppies... and millie as a shoppie. i found someone on etsy that made a millie shoppie. he needed a photo of millie, her eye color, and her favorite shopkin for the colors & design of her outfit. millie's favorite shopkin is the pink millie shake. |
| we had popcorn, pretzels, cheese, grapes, & juice pouches for snack. |
| millie wanted cupcakes & little cups of ice cream from schwan's. |
| our only party game... shopkins bingo with fun prizes. |
| it was a crazy party with 12 little girls! half of them are friends from preschool... two are granddaughters of nana's friends, one is jess's niece, one is a mops friend, and one is from dance/tap class. they were all so sweet, and seemed to have a lot of fun. it was millie's first party with friends that i really don't know very well. and i only know their parents from chatting for a few minutes before school drop-off & pick-up... so different from our kgroup days! |

| after the party, we went out to lunch at pizza king with chris, jess, my parents, and sophie's family. |
| we spent our afternoon at home... caroline napped while millie played with new toys. and had kona ice! it was such a beautiful day (mid 60s) that the kona ice truck came through our neighborhood! can't wait for the warm weather to stay! |
