our weekend.

millie went to a preschool friend's birthday party yesterday afternoon. it was the first party that i have dropped her off for the party without staying. i was a bit nervous, because i don't know her parents... i've only talked to her mom a few times at preschool drop-off/pick-up. i asked millie if she wanted me to stay since she didn't know anyone except bella, and she said "no. you can go home." i stayed for about 20minutes, until i felt comfortable leaving her, and then i left. she had fun. we are entering a whole new territory with school friends... i miss our little kgroup bubble of friends. and it made me think about how crazy it will be for millie's party in a few weeks... there will be kids at our house that i barely know.

bella had an art party. her mom created this design on each of the canvases for the girls to paint over.
my dad turned 60 yesterday, so we celebrated with dinner out with some family & friends and dessert & presents back at my parents' house. it was fun to see some old family friends and spend time with my brother & jess.
happy birthday gramps! we love you!
daddy made a "pool" for the girls this afternoon.
oh snapchat. this one is fitting for them... they have been pretending to be dogs a lot lately.
sunday night movie night.

our week.

a little snack on the floor before church. (and i think we have finally decided on a church to stick with!)
millie's rapunzel bear and caroline's dog wearing their new clothes from the build-a-bear store in orlando.
i wore stick-on princess earrings for preschool dropoff and a few errands... #girlmom.
millie drew this picture for a preschool friend's birthday card. so cute.
library storytime with anniston!
caroline rarely goes to millie's dance class with me... thankfully my parents usually keep her at their house, so that i can have an hour to myself while i watch millie in her classes and chat with the other moms. she came for part of the time this week, and loved having a little friend to follow around.
they had a poster hanging up with all of the recital costumes... these two are millie's. those are some serious recital costumes- a big step up from her recital last year at morton! and a bit more expensive too. the recital is in may, and they are already working on their routines. she is super excited about it all. she loves dance.
cavaties suck.
more snapchat fun. the girls love doing these crazy selfie filters.
millie's outfit of choice for a dinner out in january... minus the clown wig. (a coworker of g's gave us a bag of dress-up clothes & old dance costumes that his girls have outgrown. this green number is her favorite.)
caroline is finally starting to play with little people. hooray!
the first thing she says when we reach the top of the stairs before bedtime... teeth! teeth!

preschool. year two. week eighteen.

the first "show & smell" after a vacation is always a hard choice... her dog, goldie, from the villages won.
her monday creation.
homework.
the mystery box is back... one item in the box with a list of things to help everyone guess what it is.
under the big top!
her wednesday creations.
letter of the week.
dress like a clown day!
her friday creation. so cute!

holy cow! she has grown up so much!

a prayer request.

while we were in florida, i was connected with a lafayette mama who has a little boy with biliary atresia. she works with one of susan's friends who knows about our journey with millie. we chatted on facebook messenger one evening... she told me their story and asked some questions. her son is 10months old and will be needing a liver transplant soon. his kasai worked for awhile, but is now failing. they are just in the beginning stages of transplant... their first appointment with the transplant team is the first week of february. would you please be praying for them? the mom's name is michelle & the son's name is drew. i desperately want them to have a story like millie's... a quick wait on the list, the perfect liver for his little body, no complications, and for his mom to some day see him and say, "i can't believe you were once so sick... look how healthy you are now!" thanks.

our florida trip. friday and saturday.

running around the house in nana's curlers.
lunch.
snapchat fun. caroline is just the sweetest little kitty...
it was never warm enough to swim outside, so they put on their swimsuits & went swimming in the bathtub.
we even got out the pool toys.
playing on the lanai before dinner... papa put a little ramp over the step, so it would be easier for caroline to go in and out. millie was using it as their runway for a show- loved seeing them play sweetly together.
on our way to dinner millie was asking caroline different questions, and for every one she would answer "noooooo" and giggle. i was sitting across from her, and every time she did it she would look at me with the biggest smile.
our last dinner out. note to self... separate cardigan, so it doesn't make me look so large. yikes.
a little after dinner dancing at the brownwood square.
goodbye florida. it's been fun.
thanks to nana & papa for a great week away. we are so thankful for everything!

our florida trip. thursday.

our second day at disney world... hollywood studios!
g took the girls on the toy story ride alone... we only had two fast passes and the wait without a fast pass was over an hour. millie said that it was her favorite thing she did at hollywood studios. we tried to do it all together later in the day, but the wait was still over an hour... must be a fun ride!
a frozen sing-along.
sofia the first!
caroline was so excited in line for both sofia & doc, but once it was our turn she freaked out & wouldn't go near them.
happy that millie wasn't too freaked out!
caroline never napped in the stroller while we were at disney... either day. she would fall asleep on me, and then i would pass her off to g. luckily most of the time she would fall asleep while we were in a show, so i was sitting down and comfy for a bit. and she did not want to be in a carrier. my lower back was killing me, but i was just happy that she was napping. she did so awesome for two long days... very little crying, no melt downs, and listened so well to us.
disney jr. live. the girls loved it.
dinner with mickey & friends at hollywood & vine.
thanks to nana & papa for two awesome days at disney! we loved it.
her first time meeting mickey! the only boy character that she would stand with for a picture.
we loved minnie & daisy's fancy outfits. caroline loves minnie right now, but wouldn't go near her or interact with her.
and millie wouldn't take pictures with goofy or donald... because they are boys.
we ended our day at the fantasmic show. it was a bit scary for millie because of the villains, but it was an impressive show.
