thanks to nana & papa for our day at indiana beach!
we hadn't been to indiana beach since we were kids, maybe middle school for me, so weren't really sure what to expect. it was the perfect day to go, because there weren't any lines for any of the rides (thanks to school being back in session!)- none of the rides, even the few roller coasters, would be worth a long wait in line. millie enjoyed the rides in kiddie land, and so did caroline. and millie was able to ride a few other rides in other parts of the park. there were a few rides that she wasn't tall enough for that she wanted to go on, but she was content with what all she could ride... and hopefully she will be tall enough next summer for some new ones. g, cort, and i enjoyed the few roller coasters that are there... the wooden ones are a bit painful, but fun for a ride or two & the steel one was pretty fun. one bummer for the day is that we found out, after we got our swimsuits on, that the waterpark was closed for the day- not enough lifeguards showed up for work. we were hoping to cool off in the afternoon in the water- luckily it wasn't too hot! even though we couldn't do the waterpark, we still had enough left that we wanted to do that we stayed until it was time to go get dinner. and because our tickets included the waterpark and it wasn't available to us, they gave us 4 tickets to come back another time. it was a fun day... i don't think we would go back to multiple times a summer or even every summer, but it's fun to have an amusement park less than an hour away from home.
