the waldo canyon fire.

our hearts are heavy tonight as we watch our city burn...

60+mph winds pushed the wildfire over a ridge and into the west side of the city.

over 30,000 people are evacuated, houses are burning, and the sights on the news are so sad.

praying for the firefighters & for perfect conditions to get the fire under control.

and for all the people who are evacuated, with fear of losing their home.

we went out on the front porch for just a few minutes this afternoon... the smoke from the fire is so thick that we cant be outside. this was millie's first time checking out her new chair from nana. it is the perfect size for her!

we love you grams & gramps! thanks for making our visit perfect. we will miss you lots!

she did great on the flight... she made friends with two little kids in front of us and with the flight attendants. they let her hang out in the aisle, and they didnt mind moving around her if they needed to get by- she was quite the charmer.

reunited with her dada! he flew in from LA just a few hours before us, so he met us at our gate!

and because our house needed to cool off a bit with the AC... we headed out to dinner for my favorite mexican.

 it feels good to be home with our little family.

and a little one's bedtime before 10pm.

a visit to my family's church...

followed by a quick visit to g's parents' church.

and one last swim.

a relaxing afternoon of toys & a nap.

and after her nap... millie had her first popsicle!

she needs variety.

just like everything she eats... she had a little and then she just wanted to play.

always need to drink the juice at the end.

we saved my favorite dinner for last... my dad's spaghetti!

spaghetti for dinner = a bath right after dinner.

and we ended our day with dinner in carmel with jess's brother's family. millie & sophie got to meet again. they are going to be in chris & jess's wedding together next may... along with another little niece that is the same age as these two.
