caroline finally got to open her christmas present!

first bathes in the new house!

this sweet babe needs to start sleeping in her crib... we just need to find the screws to put it together.

i tried using caroline to encourage millie to wear this wig to preschool for clown day... it didn't work.

we spent the morning with gramps on his birthday... menards & lunch out. happy birthday gramps!

i'm slowly getting the playroom in the basement unpacked & set up... millie is loving all of her toys from colorado.

she's finally figuring out her pincer grasp, and is begining to feed herself puffs... she can't roll, but she can feed herself. crazy.

two weeks after moving in... we found the box with all of our furniture screws! hooray!

and now caroline has a crib!

dinner out & cupcakes back at our house to celebrate gramps!

we will be in florida in one week... can't wait!

millie's nineteenth week of preschool

week 19.

mystery box time! one item in the box & four clues to help the class guess what it is.

she picked the clues on her own. she picked her favorite school friend, abby, to answer what it was in class... she was excited to tell us about it at dinner tonight- which is pretty rare. i have to work to get her to share about her time at school.

granny.

g's granny passed away on tuesday. we drove to ohio on saturday night, the showing was sunday afternoon followed by a dinner with lots of extended family, and the funeral was monday followed by a lunch at the church. it was a bittersweet time with family... it was a wonderful reunion with lots of g's extended family, but not the reason that everyone wants to be together for. millie & caroline were excellent the entire time. it was a lot of work to keep them entertained & away from the sadness of the whole event, but they were awesome & everyone loved getting to see/meet them. we talked to millie a bit about what was going on, but never let her see granny or any of the grief/tears. she didn't ask questions and never seemed to feel uncomfortable, so i think it went well. i am so thankful that were able to see granny twice since moving back to indiana... and i am so thankful that she was able to meet caroline josephine. she will be greatly missed!

we saw the national tour of beauty & the beast at purdue with grams & nana!

she sat perfectly during the entire show & loved it!

our first night in our new house!

i love this highchair. i've missed it.

we put our large sectional down in the basement, so our living room has become a giant playroom. i'm cool with it... for now.

we found all of millie's clothes that i saved... some are almost too small for caroline- dang it!

we tried a chili place on campus for our friday night meal... i loved it. and i love meeting g out during or after work when he is still in his shirt & tie.

 

we all had our chili served on top of macncheese, so caroline's shirt was perfect for our dinner out.

g's mom told me about this fun activity at the library that some of millie's friends were going to... i'm happy we were able to get a spot to go. it was so cute! she needed to dress fancy & bring a stuffed pet to make fancy. they read a few fancy nancy & pet books, made crowns & pet collars, danced, played a few games, and had a parade around the room to show off their outfits & pets. it was adorable. and she was able to see her friends hayley & maya, which she enjoyed.
