Alice finally arrived today! We have been waiting a long time to meet her... 42 weeks to be exact. I visited Melissa & Ben this afternoon, and held the 12hour old Alice. She is awesome!

broadway.
I love the library... and the movies I find there, especially PBS specials & documentaries. I have spent the last three evenings watching the history of Broadway. I loved it! One of my favorite things to do in New York City is go to shows... I went to a ton when I lived there and always pack a lot into my trips. If you love Broadway... you should check this out! I now have a list of classics that I need to see... hopefully the national tours will come through Denver!

goodbye gallbladder.
My gallbladder is gone... woooohoooo! I will not miss you, or all of your stones! Surgery went well yesterday. I was so freaked out at first that my nurse was worried I had a heart issue because my heartrate was way too high when she checked it... a stepbystep explanation of the surgery and a good cry made my heartrate decrease. Thank goodness. The staff (especially my nurse) was amazing... they made me feel comfortable and cared for during the whole process. Many of my worries and anxiety about the the unknowns of surgery did not exist once they explained everything to me... I am thankful for them!

what a look. yikes.
Friends and family have been fantastic during the whole process... thanks a ton! I have felt so loved- get well goodies, flowers, phone calls, texts, emails, facebook messages, a jamba juice delivery, and an afternoon given up to hang out with me. You guys are fantastic! Thanks again!

baby byrd.
Tina and I went to the hospital this morning to meet baby Byrd... she came a bit earlier than we were expecting, but she is a healthy little girl. Kiersten Ella was born Tuesday, March 2 around 2:30pm... 5.5 pounds, so tiny! It was a nice way to spend the morning of my surgery; it helped keep my mind from getting too nervous and anxious. She is a cutie!

potluck and prayer.
I have wonderful friends in my life! I was blessed tonight with a potluck dinner and a covering of prayer for my surgery tomorrow. Everything about the night was awesome... I needed all the laughs and prayers to make me less nervous and anxious. They are truly a fantastic community!
