millie loved showing off her new swimming skills for daddy.

g's best friend from middle school & high school, gabe, was in town for a quick visit from minnesota. i have lots of fun memories from when g & i were dating... hanging out with gabe & our friend, brent. it was great to catch up with him & hear about his residency at mayo clinic and his life with 4 kids. we are hoping to make a trip to see his family and go to mall of america sometime! (he was showing g how to do a fun little song & knee bounce with caroline.)

our fifth week of summer.

week2 of swim lessons.

the perfect way to spend the official first day of summer... swimming & popsicles with owen at his grandparents' pool.

a dance friend's mom gave us some princess hand-me-downs for caroline. she was super excited.

i tried to keep her out of the puddles behind the benches at millie's swim lesson... i gave in half way through & let her jump.

an afternoon at the children's museum with chloe! these two are becoming sweet little friends... and her mama & i have a lot in common too which is a lot of fun! and thanks to nana for keeping caroline, so that i could have some time with just millie.

last swim lesson! she did awesome. i was worried that it wouldn't go well based on her telling me that she didn't want to go because they would make her go under... i thought it might be a struggle getting her to go every day, but it hasn't been at all. she loved it, and was always willing to do what her teacher asked her to do. she didn't level up, but i think there is a good chance that by next summer she could be ready for the next level if we keep working with her the rest of the summer & possibly do some more lessons this fall or winter.

as we were leaving the library earlier in the week, i saw a poster for a 4th of july box parade on saturday. i thought it would be a fun thing to do with the girls, so we spent the afternoon decorating cardboard box cars. millie & i enjoyed it!

we celebrated with gramps last night. so thankful for him & all that he has done for us... he's the best.
