| a kind of last minute trip to new york city! a little birthday getaway to see our friend, ryan, & go to a concert... it has been 13years since my FIT days & probably 10years since my last visit, so i was very eager for a trip. i loved it. |
| we messed up getting some cheap flights & ended up deciding it was worth it to drive... and thankfully we were able to park one block over from ryan's apartment- for free! |
| oh nyc living. |
| ryan left indianapolis like a month ago... can't believe he is living in manhattan now. |
| step in the phone booth & pick up the phone to request a spot in the hidden bar on the other side of the wall. so cool. |
| washington square park. |
| one world trade center. |
| on my list of things i really wanted to do- so powerful. |
| a slice in brooklyn before the concert... the best. |
| it was pouring. |
| one of the reasons we went... chris merrit. we love his music and have seen him once before in utah. |
| our friend, ben, met us at the concert with his car- he lives in CT now. we drove back into the city, and ben was also able to find a close parking spot to the spend the night in the city with us. |
| it was ryan's birthday. |
| found my favorite place to eat from my FIT days. |
| yum! |
| the gap i worked at in chelsea. |
| FIT! |
| loved spending the day with ben. |
| a crazy night out in chinatown. |
| wanted to see the high line since it's new since i've lived there... |
| and was also super excited to see chelsea market! i would have loved a ton more time there. |
| tenement museum... recommended by friends. |
| we did a tour about garment workers. i really enjoyed it. |
| the sea glass carousel in battery park... it was a trip to get down there, but i'm happy we did it. |
| kinky boots! |
| a rooftop bar in times square to end our trip... |
i am so thankful we were able to go. thanks to our parents for watching the girls & to ryan for being an awesome host. i really love new york. i'm so thankful that my parents let me go to FIT... crazy now to think about how big of a deal that was for my parents & i. and it will not be another 10years before our next visit!
