our fifth week of social distancing.

gathering things for caroline's indoor scavenger hunt- her class will now be doing a google meet-up once a week with a different type of activity. and there are three times to choose from to make the groups smaller- so the calls aren't super long with lots of kids sharing. her teacher is on it & doing a great job making it easy for parents & fun for kids.
it's dinosaur week for art class.
love seeing them play with toys again.
showing her indoor scavenger hunt finds to her class- something red.
grams & gramps bought caroline a beam for her zoom gymnastics classes.
kinetic sand 'playdate' with kambrie.
a science experiment for millie's e-learning... egg in vinegar & food coloring for a few days.

caroline's class often did 'write the room' activities in their classroom. her teacher assigned one for e-learning and since this week is about eggs & chicks, she suggested putting the words in eggs & doing an egg hunt. caroline loved it.
introduced millie to the 'bim bum' song... a favorite of caroline's from school.
heard lots of sirens & went out to see what was going on... a bunch of WL police cars were parked across the street to wish a little girl a happy birthday. i've seen this happening on social media in other cities too- a way to make birthdays special while kids are stuck at  home.
family bike ride.
early in the day i looked out our back window & told g that i thought it looked like our neighbors might be having a backyard wedding. during a quick bike ride around the neighborhood with the girls, i spoke to the mom of the groom & found out that yes- they are having an evening wedding! i mentioned that i have a friend who is a photographer that might be willing to take some photos for them- they said yes, please & michelle said yes. the girls & i stood right inside their fence to watch- so special & definitely a unique memory for these weird times! and totally random... the bride is a kindergarten teacher at the girls' school! congrats to will & catlin!
another day, another video call with kambrie. this time they were stretching together.
found these at the store for the first time in weeks...
better late than never...
a 'virtual sleepover' with wren & chloe... laughs, snacks, & a movie that they all started at the same time.
caroline made ursula.
digging holes for new trees in the backyard... which started their new-found love for worms.
ugh.
g took the girls with him to rural king to get fertilizer... and they came home with these. gross.
