the rest of our denver day.

a pizza dinner at bonnie brae tavern & a trip to ikea!
what a perfect day!

the beach.

We packed up our sand toys & a blanket and headed to Denver for a day at the beach! A few weeks ago our friends spent the day at the Cherry Creek Reservoir, and they told us how awesome it was... for a beach in Colorado. We decided to take Millie for her first beach/sand experience... hopefully she will get to go to a ocean beach soon! She was timid at first, but ended up loving it. She was content and happy the whole time, even during her normal naptime. Measuring cups from the Dollar Tree were the perfect toy for her... scooping and dumping, over & over again. It was such a fun day! Another Millie first!

at cherry creek state park in denver.
we love our saltwaters.
millie was very timid about walking in the wet sand...
and was unsure about having it on her hands.
but she loved it once we brought out the toys!
and in true millie style... yelling and waving hi & bye to everyone near her.
sitting on the edge of the water was a great spot... and luckily millie was still a bit freaked out by the water, which kept her from running into the water. she was happy & content playing in the sand.
holding on to her dada's hands, she walked out into the water. i loved how far out it was shallow.
snack time. fruit & sand. loving strawberries & blueberries these days.
we spent the rest of the afternoon in this little pool of warm water just up from the water line. it was the perfect spot for millie to move around and play in the water & sand. she made friends & shared her toys with a little girl and loved the interaction... she seems to really enjoy kids who are about 6 or 7. i wish she had older friends or cousins to play with!
and on our way back to the blanket to pack up, she spotted a bird. her newest sign... which she learned from baby signing time.

our day.

coloring.
my nap time activity... sewing mini cradle bedding for millie's babies.
she got this sweet little cradle as a treat from the hospital lab... it is the perfect size for her to play with right now.
she doesnt know gentle yet... she shoves her babies into the cradle and doesnt know how to lay them straight to fit.
but she always remembers to feed them.
loving her new thrifted purse... looking like a little mama.
green skinnies for a dinner out. my first night to not watch prime time olympics! i am hooked!
while we waited for our table at dinner, millie made friends with a little girl. she is so social!
looking forward to a fun weekend!

she's growing.

76 weeks.
 shirt & leggings- target

distraction was necessary today to get this photo... more wood bead stringing.

our day.

my nap time activity... a bleach dipped denim shirt.
playing with wood beads.
she is beginning to understand stringing wood beads on & off of a string... mostly off. i love watching her determination & concentration to figure out something new. and she is quick to sign please when she needs to help. i love this age.
g came home just in time to change her diaper... and this is how she came back downstairs. she was embarrassed.
and we ended our day watching the olympics... just like the past few days! go usa!

our day.

millie was the star of the exercise for tots class this morning. such a ham! lots of dancing and waving and cheering and she even gave another little a hug. and everyone loved her sweet pink boots. i think it will be a regular on our schedule.
stripes & floral.
millie had her first toilet paper experience today... with an almost empty roll in a freshly cleaned bathroom. a good situation! my tidy little lady would tear a piece off and then throw it away. and the best part of the toilet paper fun... she tore a piece off, walked out to the living room, wiped her baby's nose, and then walked back to bathroom to throw the piece away. it was so awesome to watch. i guess i have set a tidy example.
pushing around her two babies. like a mad woman.
and of course... she got into the cabinets.
i had such a fun day with millie. she made me laugh all day long.
