seventeen months.

millie's seventeenth month...

- she is still wearing size3 diapers.

- she is wearing 6-12month, 12month, and a few 12-18month clothes.

- she weighs between 19 & 20pounds.

- she has 3 bottles of pediasure a day... taking fewer & fewer ounces everyday. 

-  no new favorite foods. she is still willing to try anything we put in front of her, but she still wont take more than a few bites. if she doesnt care for something, she scrapes the food off of her tongue with her fingers. or opens up her mouth and lets it all fall out. she can now feed herself a pouch of applesauce or other purees. and she will now eat bits of a chicken nugget.

- she is down to two medications. just tacro & bactrim.

- she sleeps 12hours overnight. she is down to one nap... usually in the afternoon for a few hours. i wish her naps were a bit more predictable.

- she now signs please... repeating as I say it, and is starting to learn when to use it. next is thank you.

- she is a walker!

- she now has 11 teeth... still waiting on a fourth on the bottom.

- her OT went from once a week to once a month.

- she learned how to walk with the popper.

- she went to an allergist and the dentist for the first time.

- she could care less about her regular toys, but can entertained for a long time with anything that requires lots of thought and concentration. she likes to figure things out.

- she gets into everything... she especially loves cabinets, and it drives me crazy.

- she can follow simple instructions, like bring me your blanket or put that away, but she doesnt like to follow directions, like follow mama or come over here. she loves to stop, smile at me, and take off in the opposite direction.

- she is becoming very stubborn. and is beginning to throw tantrums when i say she cant do something.

- she gives hugs.

- she dances with only her arms. 
- she dressed like a cow for the first time.

- she is learning how to be a little mama with her baby.

- she knows what a monkey says. and sometimes an owl. 

- she knows all of the parts of her head/face... and her belly.

- she has mastered going up the stairs, and has finally learned to turn around and go down the stairs on her belly, backwards.

- and she is always pointing out a ball... at home, in magazines, on the tv, at the zoo. everywhere.
